Happy 2026!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with family, fun and lots of yummy food!! We celebrated Thanksgiving a little early then drove to California to have Thanksgiving with my family, as my mom continues to battle dementia. It was a good trip seeing family I hadn’t been with in a while and being near the ocean, which always makes me happy (though I don’t feel the need to move back to California). Christmas was great being with the kids, grands and friends! And New Years Eve was celebrated with our Life Group family, which we always enjoy! Intermixed in the festivities were some wonderful new and repeat guests, so they got to celebrate a bit with us!

Cheater Cinnamon Rolls…an easy and delicious breakfast

There’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls drifting through the house in the morning. This easy “cheater” version delivers all the comfort and indulgence of a homemade pastry with hardly any fuss. Baked in a pool of rich cream and finished with a buttery brown sugar glaze (and optional pecans for a little crunch), these cinnamon rolls come out soft, gooey, and impossible to resist.
Ingredients:
2 pkgs Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls
1 c + 3 T Heavy Whipping Cream
1 c Brown Sugar
½ butter
1/2 c chopped pecans (optional)
Preheat oven to 350
Pour 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish. Place both packages of cinnamon in baking dish.
In a small saucepan on the stove combine melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Add 3 T Heavy cream and chopped pecans (0ptional) and mix well. Pour mixture over cinnamon rolls in baking dish and put in oven for 35-40 min. Remove from oven and cool for 15 min. Remove metal lids off of icing containers and microwave for 20 seconds. Drizzle over cinnamon rolls and serve! Makes 10 cinnamon rolls.
